The Center Point-Urbana (CPU) FFA Chapter is proud to announce the o icial ribbon cutting ceremony for its new greenhouse project, taking place on Wednesday, May 6 at 5:00 PM behind the CPU High School Industrial Technology building.

Through the dedication and generosity of the Center Point-Urbana FFA Alumni & Supporters, nearly $230,000 was raised to fully fund the greenhouse—an impressive milestone for a chapter established just three years ago.

“With the hard work, planning, and incredible support from our community, we are excited to open a space that will serve CPU students and the broader community for years to come,” said Kim Lewis. “It’s especially rewarding to see the greenhouse already in operation during our first plant sale as an FFA

chapter.”

Community members, supporters, and donors are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebrate this exciting achievement. Guests are encouraged to come hungry and ready to explore a wide selection of plants available for purchase for gardens and flower beds.

“This greenhouse represents more than just a building—it’s a symbol of what our students can accomplish with the support of a strong and passionate community,” Lewis added.
