Bring the family for this wonderful hometown experience!

Come out and enjoy a wonderful, nostalgic holiday parade in downtown Vinton! The parade will be on Thursday night, November 20, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The main path will be along 4th St. in downtown Vinton.

Don't forget that the Lions are holding a chili supper from 5-8:00 p.m. at the fire station to raise funds for Eastern Iowa Honor Flights.

The veterans will lead the parade, followed by floats and vehicles covered in colorful holiday lights! Then the final thrill is seeing Santa coming to town on a big red firetruck! At the end of the parade, Santa will greet children in the Courthouse.

Vinton Unlimited, will be handing out free hot cocoa (while supplies last). In downtown Vinton, the stores will be open until 7:00 p.m. for your holiday shopping.

If you would like to be in the parade, there is no registration needed! Simply line up at 5:30 p.m. on 6th St. east and south of Wesley United Methodist Church.

There is one restriction for participants, and that there not be any Santa imposters in the parade as Santa himself will be arriving from the North Pole and will wrap up the parade.

The theme of the parade is Christmas or anything patriotic.

Bundle the kids up and enjoy some fun!
