In Benton County, roughly 15% of our population falls beneath the poverty level. Once a family pays housing and other expenses, what's left for food can be inadequate in order to keep a well-rounded diet for the entire family - and that's where we come in.
Giving is not something that has to be justified. We just do it.
So, we need you. We need all of you to take a stand against children getting sick and seniors going hungry because buying healthier food - or even food at all - wasn't an option.
Hunger is solvable. Join our crazy team and be the solution.
The Wesley United Methodist Church, is located at 516 2nd Avenue, Vinton (church by the Vinton Public Library). The food pantry will be open this Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m.
