Events and Activities : Benton Co. Democrats plan Hall of Fame fund-raising dinner Oct. 9

By Terry Hertle The Benton County Democrats will have their 2nd Annual Hall of Fame Fund-raisingdinner in Van Horne Community Building on Sunday October 9, 2016 with a social at 5:30, dinner at 6:00 and program at 7:00. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple and available by contacting 319-504-9376 or email at rschwartz53@msn.com. The regular monthly meeting will be held October 18^th at the Democrat headquarters in Vinton at 603 W. 8^thSt. A "Meet & Greet"� sandwich supper will be available at 6:00 with the meeting to follow at 7:00. Anyone interested in meeting or electing Democrat candidates in the November 8^th election is invited to attend. 2016 Fall of Fame Inductees are Dorothy Brecht, Blairstown, former Benton County Clerk of Court, Ed Brecht, rural Norway, former Benton County Supervisor, Lee Campbell, Vinton, long-time volunteer and former Central Committee officer, and Berniece Schwartz, Vinton, also a long-time volunteer and supporter.
