The 10th annual Tour De Lights 5K fund-raiser for the Vinton-Shellsburg track and cross country teams takes place Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Vinton fire station.
The Tour de Lights Holiday Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for the first Sunday in December. There will be door prizes and free food to all the people who take part. The Benton County Cattlemen are providing bowls of beef stew.
The evening will be topped of with fireworks! Chuck Yedlik and Mark Pingenot have agreed to help us mark our tenth anniversary with Winter fireworks which will be set off north of the river and we can watch them from the fire station or Celebration Park.
Spread the word for an interesting event and evening. Email friends from other towns and schools. How many times do you get to run with Christmas music and lights all while gathering the holiday spirit?
