PEO Chapter MZ will meet Mon., April 8, at 1:30 PM at the home of Jackie Schoettmer assisted by Donna Sutton.  The program will be presented by Frieda Davis.

The Noon Kiwanis Organization Easter Egg Hunt will be held on March 30th at Riverside Park beginning at 10 am, if the weather is bad, the event will be held at the Skate and Activity Center.

  The Better Tomorrows Board will be meeting on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Kirkwood Vinton Center at 12:00 p.m. Topics of discussion will be Funding Sub-committee Recommendations; By-Laws; Community Plan, Board Member Position Changes, Board Member Evaluations, Staff Evaluations, Board Liability Insurance, Program Reports; Co-Director Reports and the Financial Report.

Authors Ruth Anne Abel Schneck and Janice Abel, will be speaking at Hawkins Memorial Library on Wednesday, April 3, at 6 PM. The Abel sisters will share from their books From the Wishmore to You and its newer companion book From The Wishmore to You Cookbook The Wishmore book is about sisters growing up in a main street café, The Wishmore, in La Porte City, during the 1940’s.

Breast Cancer Survivors will meet WEDNESDAY, April 3 at 5:30  p.m. for dinner and conversation at Windsor Manor in the dining room. Please note change of day and time! Guest speaker will be Tammy Fett; her topic is "Getting your feet ready for summer.

Virginia Gay Hospital’s Diabetes Support Group will meet Tuesday, March 26th in the cafeteria room at 6:30pm. Topic will be “Dealing with Hypoglycemia Unawareness,” presented by Julie Hansen RN.

Whether its diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, cancer or any other chronic disease, patients suffering from chronic conditions (and their families) face a number of common challenges.

The Post Prom 2013 committee is again sponsoring a fundraising night at Penguins Comedy Club.  This has been a popular event in past years and we hope to "pack the house" again this year.
