Green Thumbs & Black Fingernails are invited by Friends of the CP Library

Something all gardeners have, besides dirty fingernails, is a constant hunger for more gardening information. Center Point Friends of the Library will feed the need by sponsoring the Linn County Master Gardener talks every Thursday in September.

3rd Thursday Farmers Market at Celebration Park

August 18, will mark the 3rd Thursday of the month. This will bring added fun to Farmers Market from 5-7 p.m. at Celebration Park. multiple food trucks will be there.

Better Together Shoes for Shelter Drive in Progress

Our Shoes for Shelters drive is in full swing and we are still needing nearly 3,000 pairs of new and gently worn shoes to reach our goal! Shout out to Stacy at Grant Wood for setting up this collection bin for us! If anyone else would like to set up a bin at their workplace, we would be so grateful! Shoes can be left at our door or behind our building anytime.

Food Pantry available on the Third Saturday

Things are really tight for families right now. Don't feel bad, everyone is struggling to pay their bills and feed the family. If you need some help making the groceries stretch, there is a food pantry available on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Farmers Market Tonight at Celebration Park 5-7:00 p.m.

Stop out at Celebration Park for Farmers Market from 5-7:00 p.m. tonight!The Lions Club will be there and set up ready to serve the community.Tonight there will be a salsa competition and free salsa will be available once the competition is finished.

Shellsburg American Legion Breakfast Every Saturday, 8-10 a.m.

The Shellsburg American Legion Saturday morning breakfast is held each Saturday. The hours are 8 - 10 am. We ask people to social distant at the tables (families of course can sit together) and wear masks if you choose.
