Events and Activities : Bike Rodeo safety event set for May 7

Along with the warmer springtime weather comes an increase in the number of children with bikes out and about within the community.

To make sure that local youth are well educated on proper road etiquette and bicycle safety, the Vinton Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting its annual 'Bike Safety Rodeo' on Tuesday, May 7th at the Vinton Recreation Center parking lot.

Kids will have the opportunity to ride the fun yet challenging safety course with their bikes and also even get their bike and helmet inspected for safety by a Vinton Police officer!

This event will get underway at 5 PM and there is no cost to attend. All ages are welcome! This event is made possible by the generous support from the Vinton Police Department, Vinton Noon Kiwanis and Wilson-Hite Insurance.
