Events and Activities : Honor Flight docomentary coming to CR theater

Great News Honor Flight Family!!!!! "Honor Flight, The Movie" will be shown ay 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at the Collins Rd Theaters in Cedar Rapids. Our thanks to Bruce Taylor at Collins Rd for his willingness to sponsor this showing, and for his past support of Honor Flight. Tickets are $7.50 and we need 30 more people to rsvp and get their tickets on line to make this happen. I want to also thank Board Member Anita Munson for working with Bruce, and serving as the liason for this project. Not only will this serve to continue to spread the word about the Honor Flight program, but this can be a great fundraising opportunity as we will be there with an information table, and accepting free will donations. This movie was premiered in Milwaukee, WI on December 7, 2012. It features 4 veterans from Wisconsin who went on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight out of Wisconsin. Although these veterans are from Wisconsin, it is a very good view of what an Honor Flight is. The movie will be out in General Distribution in May, but we are fortunate enough to be able to preview it here in Cedar Rapids this March. It is both an educational/informative as well as a fundraising opportunity for us.
