Events and Activities : Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School students present 'It's about time'

The Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School students will present the annual spring play production on Thursday and Friday, March 18 & 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the Tilford elementary auditorium. This year’s theme, “It’s About Time” will showcase more than thirty talented young students and six guest performers. Musical numbers from five different Broadway shows as well as “oldies” from Sesame Street and the Beatles will be performed. Rounding out the show will be choral readings and dramatizations including a short retelling of “Romeo and Juliet” and a classic Dr. Suess story. Accompanying the show will be director Lois Martin and middle school instrumentalists Alyssa Cantrell, Raechel Wehage, Mikayla Dearden and Elizabeth Fischer. The show promises to be a delight for audiences of any age. Directors Martin and Michelle Bookmeier invite patrons of all ages to enjoy the efforts and talents of these fine young men and women at their performances. This performance is open to the public and admission is free for all ages.
