Quilt Book Sale Oct. 20
Members of the Center Point Friends of the Library met Sept. 24 for final planning of “A Harvest of Quilts” show and quilt book sale to be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 to 3, at the Library.
Donated quilting and needlework books, many like new, will be sold for from $1 to $5. There will be a silent auction of five decorator quilts by Donna Cobley. Donated fabric and sewing notions will also be for sale. New and antique quilts for display should be at the Library basement by 8 a.m. on the day of the show and be picked up beginning at 3.
Volunteer will set up for the show and sale on Friday, Oct. 19, beginning at noon. Friends working on the project are: Christina Lahr, Marj Pepin, Vicki Thompson, Sharon Hannen, Dorothea Wood, Kim Schantz and Roberta Gilchrist.
