Events and Activities : Pre-Diabetes Class to be offered at VGH

Virginia Gay Hospital’s Diabetes Education Program is offering a Pre-Diabetes Class for those who have elevated glucose or are at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes. You may benefit from this class if you have a family history of Type 2, sedentary lifestyle, are overweight, have high BP or blood fats, or had gestational Diabetes, or babies weighing more than nine pounds. No Physician referral needed. Cost $15. The Class is Thursday, October 4th, from 3-5 PM in the VGH cafeteria. Individual appointments available also. Call 319-472-6193 to RSVP or for questions.
