The Vinton Community Swimming Pool will be hosting its annual Palace at the Pool movie on Friday, August 3rd. This year we will be showing the movie "Dolphin Tale." This is a family film inspired by the amazing true story of Winter, a young dolphin who loses her tail in a crab trap, and Sawyer, an 11-year old boy who befriends her and convinces a pioneering doctor to create a prosthetic attachment to save Winter's ability to swim. The movie will start at dark but those arriving early will be able to swim and also participate in some water-themed games and score some water-themed prizes! "Dolphin Tale" will be shown on an enormous inflatable screen while attendees are able to watch while lounging about in the 3-foot pool or hanging out on the pool deck. This film is rated 'PG' and has a runtime of 113 minutes. Additionally, this event is completely free for anyone that wants to attend! Remember to arrive early (as early as 6 PM) for swimming, games and prizes!
