Volunteers will be at work by 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, setting up the Center Point Friends of the Library Annual Used Book Sale in the Library basement. Come help and get a sneak peek at the wide variety of books, tapes, DVDs, etc. available-- or if you just like messing about with books.

The sale will begin Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 to 4, continue during Library hours through the next week and end with an all you can carry sale for a $5 admission from 10 to 2 on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Friends president Christina Lahr has announced an extra feature of the sale: a silent auction of items donated by Center Point businesses and lap quilts made and donated by Donna Cobley. Bidding will end at 2 p.m. Aug. 11. Winning bids will be announced Monday, Aug. 13, at the Library.
