Events and Activities : BC Farm Bureau to mark 94th year; meeting, picnic July 10 in Newhall

“The Benton County Farm Bureau Federation will be celebrating 94 years with its annual meeting for members on Tuesday evening July 10, 2012at the Newhall City Park Pavilion,” says Board President Robert Ritscher. The park/pavilion is located off of 3rd Streetin Newhall.

The board of directors will serve a free supper from 6:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. A brief business meeting will be held, which will include an election of officers and presentation of the 2012 county resolutions to the membership. The 2012 county scholarship winners will receive their awards at this time. Benton County Emergency Management Director, Scott Hansen will be the guest speaker for the evening. The directors look forward to Hansen’s presentation.

Benton County Farm Bureau members and their families are encouraged to attend this year’s annual meeting. “We have families in BentonCountywho have been members of the Farm Bureau for many years” says Ritscher, “we appreciate their loyalty to the organization.” Over seventeen hundred families belong to the Benton County Farm Bureau and every member is welcome to attend the meeting on July 10th.
