Events and Activities : Young aspiring actors invited to attend Summer Theatre Camp

"Hey, Look At Me! Theatre Camp Coming to Vinton!*

Director Erin Horst announces a six week theatre camp for young actors in the Vinton area, with the support of ACT I. The camp will consist of six one-week workshops June 7 through July 30, with a new focus each week, including, musical theatre, direction and movement, costumes, lighting, thinking creatively, and many other topics designed to give budding actors and actresses good foundations for live theatre. Each workshop will be divided into groups by age so that participants will be working with others of their own age, and will culminate in public performances at the end of each week. The workshop performances will be based on 3LH Famous People Profiles, including such far-ranging personalities as Abraham Lincoln, Walt Disney, Pocahontas, Anne Frank, and many others. To register children for workshops, download and print the registration form, and return it along with the registration fee to the Palace Theatre, 210 West Fourth Street, Vinton, IA 52349. Note that it is not necessary to sign up for every workshop. The first workshop fee is $25.00 and each additional workshop is $10.00. ACT I will provide space, props, set materials, and other necessary items for the workshop.
