The Benton County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, will host an informational meeting about the foundation, its grant administration process, and the application procedures for the 2012 application.

“Local residents and organizations are invited to attend this workshop as it will give an in-depth look at the application and requirements,” Ranae Becker, secretary of the Benton County Community Foundation, states. “This workshop will be a benefit to all 2012 applicants.”

Materials for the 2012 granting cycle will be available at the workshop, online, or at the Benton Development Group office (call 319-472-5545 or visit 303-1st Avenue) in Vinton.

The grant workshop will be held:

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 6:30 – 8:00 pm

at the BlairstownCommunity Center, 303 Locust Street, Blairstown Grants may be awarded in areas such as arts and culture, community affairs and development, education, environmental education and protection, health, historic preservation, and human services. Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; a governmental body (school, city, county) or a charitable project with a qualified fiscal sponsor that operates within BentonCounty.
