Organizers are setting up bus routes and arranging rides for area students to attend The fifth annual Fields of Faith event at Union High School, which takes place at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening, Oct. 12, on the football field in La Porte City. In case of rain, the event will take place in the gym.

The public is invited; more than 500 students from dozens of area high schools attended the event last year.

Fields of Faith is an event for students to invite classmates and teammates to hear fellow students share faith testimonies, challenges to read the Bible, and to come to faith in Jesus Christ.

Fields of Faith is organized by Fellowship of Christian Athletes, locally by Union High School Football Coach Joe Hadachek. Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

Each year, the event includes students sharing their testimony or favorite verses, and special guests. This year, the speakers will include body builder Randy Hartz.

If you have any questions you can visit www.FieldsofFaith.com or E-mail Coach Hadachek Jhadachek@fctc.coop. If you know of a student who will be interested in sharing his/her faith or a favorite bible verse, please ask them to call at 476-4540, text 319-231-6407,or e-mail tmangrich@vgmfs.com.
