Events and Activities : Time to \'Vent;\' fund-raising concert for depot set for Aug. 20

Have the storms and heat this summer made you feel that enough is enough?

It is time to kick back and spend an evening with Eastern Iowa’s rock band, “Vent” who will be performing an outdoor concert to benefit the Rock Island Historical Depot restoration efforts on August 20th at the Riverside Park band shell from 6:00-10:00 pm. Rain date Sunday August 21st same time.

Cash donations will be accepted in lieu of a ticket charge to help with renovation of the Vinton Depot. Bring your lawn chair and your dancing shoes.

Justin Rouse, Patrick Geasland, Ron Sai and Nolan Dvorak make up Vent and perform rock/metal spanning from the 70’s to current. A donated bass guitar, autographed by the band will be auctioned to the highest bidder. The electric guitar is a 2001 fender squire precision bass with a kit bag and amp cord and a rosewood neck. On-line bids will be accepted until 3:00 pm, August 20th by emailing Brian at trester342@aol.com.
