Events and Activities : Center Point Historical Society presents "On the Wapsi" June 23

Outdoorsman and Cedar Rapids Gazette columnist Orlan Love will give a free talk about the Wapsipinicon River on Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. entitled "On the Wapsie" at the Center Point Historical Society Depot Museum, 700 E. Washington.

"I was born and raised in Quasky," Orlan said, "and I've been running around on that river for 55 years."

The Historical Society's 2024 theme is Natural History. The museum has displays of butterflies, insects, rocks, fossils, arrowheads and Indigenous people and conservation history. Hours are 2-5 Sundays through October.

Admission is free.
