Events and Activities : Kenny Salwey visits Vinton Saturday from 7-9pm

Kenny Salwey, well known author, and featured on many TV networks, visits Vinton this weekend.

Kenny Salwey is a born story teller and famous author of "The Last River Rat" and "Tales of the last river rat: Adventures Wild Mississippi" and others.

He will be speaking at Frazier's Nursery this weekend.

Kenny's life has been documented and featured on the BBC, PBS, Discovery Channel and CBS. He shares his life experiences and tales of living as a river guide, trapper, fisherman, hunter, woodman, root and herb collector along the Mississippi.

Kenny shares his unique life, living on the river and living off the land and protecting the rivers ecology. His tales bring alive the rich simplicity of a life lived along the mighty Mississippi.

Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets, relax and enjoy the tales!
