Events and Activities : Americorp speaks at Kiwanis Club

Vinton Kiwanis Club met at noon Tuesday April 13 for the regular meeting at Pizza Ranch in the back meeting room. The program was given by 4 Americorp members. Although members have visited the the past 2 seasons, this bunch was different. They told of their group projects, and personal volunteer experiences. However on a more specific slant, they also told of their attitude toward Iowa, and Vinton. Often, it was more positive towards their initial beginnings. Let us give them a smile, and a greeting, as they are temporarily part of our community. Next week we will visit the Municipal Electric utilities at 12:30 PM.
