Events and Activities : Shellsburg's Big Day July 16

Shellsburg's Big Day is scheduled for Saturday, July 16 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and running through 11:30 p.m. with events for all ages. 

The schedule of events are as follows:

6:30 a.m. Registration for the 5K Run/Walk

8:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk Begins

10:30 a.m. Parade

11:00 a.m. Shine & Show

11:30 a.m. Park Festivities 

12:00 p.m. Legion Presents Flag/Colors

12:30 p.m. Community Band

1:00 p.m. Cooling Dance Performers

1:45 p.m. Bags (Corn Hole) Tournament

2:00 p.m. Pie Contest Judging

3:00  p.m. Shellsburger Contest Judging

5:00 p.m. Duck Races

8:30 p.m. Boot Jack Band Entertainment

9:30 p.m. Fireworks

11:30 p.m. Last Call (Beer Tent)

Midnight Park Closes

Throughout the day there will be a Dunk Tank, Bingo, Bouncy House and Rock Wall, Duck Races...Beast and Bird, the Benton County Beef Producers and Cranky Hanks will all be on hand to do the cooking.
