Drop in between 10 and 11am to color, relax, and converse with others! Coloring sheets and colored pencils provided.

STEAM for Kids at 3:30pm

School-aged kids are invited to participate in science, math, art, and engineering activities!

Fresh Conversations

Fresh Conversations is a free nutrition and physical education program for ages 60+. The program offers practical tips and sensible solutions to everyday problems that get in the way of eating and living well! Program courtesy of IDPH.

Unity Project

Saturday May 14 at 9:00-noon

Participate in an interactive, larger-than-life art project that demonstrates the uniqueness and similarities of those in our community! The project will remain up for 2 weeks for visitors to view and add to.

Adult Craft Night

Monday May 23 at 6:00pm

Come to the library for a fun night of crafting upcycled t-shirt bags! Bring 1 or more old t-shirts to cut and design for a bag that can carry books and more!

Special Bubble Storytime!

Adult readers are welcome to come to one or both meetings! Each month our book club will have a theme...simply pick a fiction or nonfiction book that fits that theme, read it, and come to the club to discuss your book!

Unity Project Community Conversation

Saturday May 28 at 10:00am

Join United Way of East Central Iowa for a conversation to champion commUNITY in Vinton and Benton County. Parents and children are invited to a storytime reading of "Same, Same but Different" about how children around the world are more alike than they are different. Following the reading, families will discuss how they can listen, learn, and use their words to create a commUNITY where children and adults feel included and welcome. Participants will receive a CommUNITY Literacy Kit with their own copy of "Same, Same but Different" by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw and "Say Something" by Peter H. Reynolds along with age-appropriate activities, and parent resources. One kit per family. Supplies limited.
