Friends of the Center Point Library are thinking of spring cleaning-not theirs, yours.

Friends is planning the annual used book sale and realizing that, although we may not be over covid, we're over the "covid cleaning" compulsion. That means fewer used books donated to the Library which means fewer books for Friends to sell which means less Friends funds for Library programs and projects.

The Friends Book Sale will be June 9, 10, and 11 this year during the Center Point city-wide garage sale.

There's plenty of time to spring clean your book collection. No textbooks or encyclopedias, please, and hold the mold, but otherwise please consider giving your extra books to the Library.

Current Friends-sponsored Library activities are a free presentation by Dennis Schlicht on "Attracting Butterflies", Mar. 3 at 7 p.m., with drawings for free books; and a Teen Board Game Saint Patrick's Day party hosted by Kevin and Becky Jones at the Library on Mar. 17, 5:30-7 p.m., with prizes and treats
