Many remember Van Horne's Allegra (Grady)Schueler as one of Benton County's most expert historians. She could tell dozens of stories about Benton County early in the last century, but her best stories were personal memories of her own experiences. She remembered her family's first car arriving in a box, ready to be assembled and stored in a new addition to the family home, a garage. She drove that car for her father, a country doctor, as he called on patients in the great influenza epidemic.
Friday, March 25 there will be a free showing of "Her Own Story: A Montage of Benton County Women" The presentation will be held at the Palace Theater from 4:30pm - 5:15pm
Allegra's story is included in this event!
