The Annual Christmas Parade, organized by area veterans, will take place tongiht, Thursday evening November 18th. Anyone can be in the parade. Simply arrive and line up on the south and east side of the United Methodist Church (next to the library) at 5:30 p.m. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. and will head west on 5th Street, then north on B Ave, then east on 4th Street to just past the courthouse.

The only person not allowed to arrive on any of the floats will be Santa's twin. The REAL Santa has already scheduled his arrival from the North Pole and will ride in the parade. Following the parade he will meet in the courthouse with the children.

There will be a chili supper fundraiser for the Eastern Iowa Honor Flights. The supper will begin serving at 4:30 p.m. and running until 7:30 p.m. at the Vinton Fire Station, sponsored by the Vinton Lions Club.

The cost is a freewill donation. Stop in and support the veterans!
