The Center Point Friends of the Library Book Sale, June 11 and 12, felt like just what the doctor ordered after being canceled-along with all the other Friends activities-last year because of the pandemic.
A lavish number of lovely volunteers came to help set up, run, and clean up the book sale. They included high school students Logan Keller, Gracie Hickey, Shelby Channel, Cassie Davis and Christopher Sherman; community volunteers Cami Kapayou, Erin Gauger, Vicki Harger, Rick Hannen, Rob Bowen and Mary Behrens; and Friends members Julie Stephens, Kim Bowen, Becky Jones, Ginny Luchauer, Carolyn Roseberry, Vicki Thompson Sharon Hannen, and Kim Schantz.
Besides being so grateful to all the volunteers, Friends is thankful to the family of late Library benefactor Marilyn Andersen for donating a big selection of cat books and cat collectibles to add to the sale.
Center Point crafter and quilter Marge Pepin also donated lots of needlework and quilt kits to sell.
And, of course, Friends is grateful to all the old friends and new ones who came to the sale to support the Library, to pick up some good bargains, and to have a good visit after this long year.
