This year, the Benton County Fair will kick off with an exciting event - 4-H Night at the Grandstand. The entire community is invited to the Benton County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, June 23 from 6-8:30 p.m. After a ceremonial start with the American Legion Color Guard presenting the flags in an inspiring tribute, enjoy the talented youth of Benton County at the 4-H Share the Fun Talent Show. Watch 4-H members walk the runway in the 4-H Awardrobe Fashion Show and see the 2021 Benton County Fair Queen get crowned.

"It's great that we're able to work with the County Fair Board and showcase our 4-H program and the good work that we do. Being recognized on the grandstand at the Benton County Fair enables us to take our 4-H program to the next level," said Greg Walston, county director for ISU Extension and Outreach Benton County

The brand-new Benton County Fair backdrop will also be dedicated at the opening program.

"We are so excited to be a part of this fun new event! All of our 4-H and FFA families have expressed their excitement to being back to a "normal" fair this year and this is just one of a few new things that has been added to the fair line up. We are truly back and better than ever at the Benton County Fair!" said Sheila Hlas, county youth coordinator for ISU Extension and Outreach Benton County.

TS June 25, 2021, 10:14 pm Is there going to be a armband night? I remember that it was on Saturday nights. And how much is it per person?

Editor's Note: I had heard that it was tonight, but I'm not sure if it was rained out...
