Events and Activities : Vinton Public Library hosting Quilts of Valor Display

Quilts of Valor will be on display at the Vinton Public Library beginning on Wednesday, May 5th and will run through Thursday, May 27th.

Feel free to stop in to learn about the Quilts of Valor program and enjoy some of these works of art. On Tuesday, May 11th and Thursday, May 20th, Rita Moore and Elayne Gassett will be available to throughout the day offering some mini talks and available to answer questions. There will be a Quilts of Valor presentation being scheduled to honor an area veteran.

This is a great opportunity to bring the kids out to visit with these two ladies. Rita has sewn over 55 quilts to be given away and Elayne presents these quilts as well as several others to veterans in the state.
