4th Street Diner, HACAP North Benton Center, is located at 202 East Fourth St. in Vinton. Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. On Monday, February 22nd, we welcomed the Urbana Card Club as our guests. We also recognized the birthday of Lois Romman. There were four tables of Pepper Cards played. Dale Alpers won 1st place with 324 points. Milo Cobb took 2nd place with 259 points. Bud Barr and Don Selken tied for 3rd place with 250 points. Lois Romman brought a cake to share. HACAP furnished beverages and other refreshments were provided by the card club. On Tuesday, February 23rd, we welcomed the Newhall Ladies as our guests. We also recognized the birthday of Joe Healy. The Don Anders Band provided the afternoon entertainment. On Wednesday, February 24th, the activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The Bingo games of the day were handpicked by Clete Friedman. Flag was chose for game one and Clete Friedman and JoAnn Roster split it. Game two was a 9 pack and was won by Mae Kerkman. Game three was 3 Bingos Hard Way and was won by Jeanette Blazicek. Game four was 13 Numbers with JoAnn Roster winning that one. Game five was Blackout and won by Dale Alpers, Zella Alpers, and Faye Goodell. On Thursday, February 25th, the activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The Bingo games of the day were handpicked by Greta Geiken. Game one was Frame Free Spot Four Corners and was won by Mae Kerkman. Game two was Baseball with Dora Vogt winning. Game three was Wild Number 3 Bingos with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game four was a 9 Pack with Dora Vogt winning. Bingo ended with Blackout and Mae Kerkman and Dale Alpers winning. On Friday, February 26th, there were 7 tables of 500 played. Glen Kester and Irene Geiger tied for 1st place with 3,010 points. Ron Dawson won 2nd place with 2,870 points. Merle Roths won 3rd place with 2,840 points. Cookies were donated by Hospice of Compassion. HACAP furnished beverages and other refreshments were provided by card club. On Monday, March 1st, there were 4 tables of Pepper Cards played. Dora Vogt won 1st place with 239 points. Nellie Cobb won 2nd place with 234 points. Greta Geiken won third place with 229 points. Refreshments were provided by the card club and HACAP provided beverages. On Tuesday, March 2nd, the activity of the day was Surprise Bingo. Norma Ellis won a notepad and pen on game one. Clete Friedman won a meal ticket on game two. Fern Lewis won a bracelet on game three. Greta Geiken won Junior Mints on game four. Faye Goodell won earrings on game five. On Wednesday, March 3rd, we recognized Ruth Wieditz's birthday. The activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo. The Bingo games of the day were handpicked by Jeanette Blazicek . Game one was a 9 Pack and was won by Jeanette Blazicek. Game two was Three Bingos and Wild Number with Zella Alpers winning. Game three was Picnic Table and won by Mae Kerkman. Game four was Layer Cake and won by Mae Kerkman. Game five was Blackout and won by Jeanette Blazicek and JoAnn Roster. On Thursday, March 4th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The Bingo games of the day were handpicked by Elsie Knaack. Game one was Frame the Free Four Corners and won by Fern Lewis. Game two was Crazy T with Faye Goodell winning. Game three was Stair Steps and won by JoAnn Roster. Game four was a Plus Sign and won by JoAnn Roster. Game five was Blackout and won by Mae Kerkman. On Friday, March 5th, there were 7 tables of 500 played. Leroy Wiezer won 1st place with 4,300 points. Bernadine Barr won 2nd place with 3,940 points. Don Burmeister won 3rd place with 3,650 points.
