Are your electric rates going up with pending Cap and Trade Legislation? Will Iowa be treated fairly with this Legislation? Mr. Ruth has lead a grassroots campaign for the past six months to inform Iowa’s Senators and Representatives about his concerns with Iowa’s rising energy costs. In September he delivered names of 20,000 member-consumers expressing their concerns as well. While ECI REC is “supportive of legislation that helps reduce carbon dioxide, but changes are needed in the current bill for us (REC) to support it, because right now it’s not fair to Iowa or the Midwest, and it will make electric bills more expensive”. Please come and listen to Mr. Ruth’s thoughts and concerns for our community and get your questions answered. Presented by Benton County Advocates.

The Evening with Mr. Harry Ruth, CEO of East Central Iowa – REC will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 starting at 7PM, in the US Bank Community Bldg. located at 414 A Avenue, Vinton, IA.
