Need to get your Audiobook box checked for Summer Reading? An Audiobook session for you to come, listen to part, and talk with fellow listeners is scheduled!

July 16th, 1 pm, and 5:30 pm. Join the Library to listen to Kent State by Deborah Wiles. (Both sessions will listen to part 1, approx. 20 minutes.) The audience intended: Adult and Upper Young Adult.

The audience is limited to 5 due to social distancing. RSVP to the Library!

A must-read for young adults and their parents, even grandparents. I listened to the audio version and it is fantastic. I am not sure the print version has the impact of the audio one, but the many facets of this book lean toward discussion and hopefully understanding. The Epilogue must also be listened to or read, it gives so much valuable information on her research and even more about the events that happened. Wiles encourages us all to "Tell Your Story" oral histories and the simple telling of how you see the event is invaluable to understanding a different viewpoint.
