Events and Activities : FFA Labor Auction next week

The annual Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Labor Auction will take place in the VSHS gym at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8.

This will be FFA advisor Duane Fisher's last auction before retiring. Area businesses, farmers and farm families are encouraged to participate in this event, one of the main fund-raising activities for the VS FFA chapter.

Dozens of FFA members will be 'sold' to the highest bidder. Each member will work eight hours for the individual or business who offers the highest bid. Mr. Fisher has traditionally been the last person to stand on the auction block.
