The Benton County Above the Influence Coalition is sponsoring a session called "Street Drugs 101."
Participants will hear from Mark Phippen of the Benton County Sheriff's Office on how street drugs are used currently, where they may be hiding and how to identify them if you see them. He will also discuss some ways to reduce the access to and effects of drugs on the community.
The event takes place at noon on Thursday, Oct. 21, at the U.S. Bank Community Room.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Since the meeting occurs at noon, participants are welcome to bring sack lunches. No meal will be provided.
