Events and Activities : Annual Shellsburg Lions Golf Cart Gala August 13

Please be sure to mark your calendar for the 1st Annual Shellsburg Lions Golf Cart Gala on Aug 13. The Shellsburg Lions along with Pearl St Social Club and Coops Roadhouse are sponsoring a parade of golf carts (decorated or not) and ANY OTHER entries. The parade starts at 5:00 pm from the school and the street dance at 7:00 pm. The Shellsburg Firemen's water ball contest starts at 6:00 pm on Main St near the FMTCS building. The entry fee for the parade is $5 and all parade proceeds to go to the new park pavilion.

The street dance will be downtown Pearl St with the band Full Circle. The Shellsburg Lions will have a beer tent on the west side of Pearl St and also serving food next to Roy's Foodland. Coops will also be serving food. Tickets for the food court and dance will be $2 or 2 canned goods. The canned goods will be donated to the Share Food Pantry.

The Shellsburg Firemen will be hosting a water ball contest on Main St near the phone company building.

All proceeds from this event will go to the new Shellsburg Digital Community Sign. The sign is up and running due to very generous donations from business, local organizations and individuals and a little help from USA Communication.
