Events and Activities : Choir, band and art on display at VSHS celebration, May 10

On Tuesday, May 10 in the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Cafeteria & Auditorium, we invite you to join the music and art departments for a celebration of Fine Arts! The event begins when the high school doors open at 6:00pm. Take this opportunity to peruse the art displayed in the cafeteria! At 6:30pm the choir will host a Thank You and recognition of all individuals and businesses who donated to our Robe Fundraiser. Everyone is welcome to come to this event. The robes will not be formally dedicated at this event, but we will still be modeling the one robe we have, providing a little light entertainment, and of course recognizing our wonderful donors. At 7pm the concert will begin, featuring Symphonic Band, Treble Choir, Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and a number of awards and recognitions, including our graduating seniors. All groups will be performing their contest music, as well as a piece or two added in honor of our upcoming Florida Trip! We hope to see you in the audience on May 10!
