Judy Junge, of Keystone, was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer in December. The cancer has made it impossible for Judy to continue to work. Her work is doing what she loves—providing therapeutic massage and Reiki to her clients.
Judy has chosen alternative cancer treatment. Alternative treatments are not covered by insurance and create a financial burden. To help meet some of her expenses, Judy’s friends and family are planning this benefit for her. The benefit includes a pulled pork supper, silent auction, chair massage & Reiki, and a bake sale. Music will be performed by Jonny Lipford & ensemble, Award Winning Performing & Recording Artist of Native American & World Flutes.
The benefit is scheduled for April 23, 2016 at Unity Center of Cedar Rapids, Iowa , 3791 Blairs Ferry Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402.
The free will donation dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the event plans to conclude by 8:00 p.m Wish On A STAR founder, Grace Gilbaugh, is hosting the event. Wish On A STAR is a non-profit organization founded by 12 year old Grace Gilbaugh of Van Horne. Donations for Judy are tax deductible through Wish On A STAR, and 100% of the net proceeds from on-line, cash and check donations go directly to Judy. Wish On A STAR has its own fundraisers to support the organization, and keeps no money donated to a family for its own use. Donations to Judy Junge can be mailed to: Wish on A STAR, Attn: Judy Junge Benefit, PO Box 266, Van Horne, IA. 52346. On-line donations can be made at http://www.wishonastarusa.org/judy-junge.html.
