The annual Pink Night for the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes basketball team will take place on Friday, Jan. 15. The Vikettes and their opponents, the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers, will wear pink and honor survivors during halftime.

Proceeds will go toward Virginia Gay Hospital's efforts to fight breast cancer.

Vikette coach Aaron Zuspann is preparing the schedule for the evening, which includes the following:

4:30 Freshmen/Sophomore Game

6:00 JV Game

Half time of the JV Game the Cooling Dancers are performing

Between JV and Varsity Game Survivors will be introduced.

The 2nd graders will be performing a patriotic song before the National Anthem.

7:30 Varsity game

Shortly following the varsity game the Schmidt brothers will be performing a free will concert in the auditorium

Before the Freshmen Game begins a raffle will start for two items. The first will be the game ball. We will tip with a Pink Ball and pull it off the court shortly after the game starts. Those will be 2 dollars per ticket or 3 for 5.

There will be a 2nd raffle item. It will contain an hour long massage from Betterton Chiropractic, a cut and highlight/color from Rachelle Rammelsburg at Sheer Connections, some Bath Bombs, and some chocolates. Those will be 5 dollars a piece or 3 for 10.
