Events and Activities : VS Veterans Day ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday

The Vinton-Shellsburg school district invites all veterans to attend theannual community- and district-wide Veterans' Day Assembly, November 11. The assembly begins at 9:30 a.m. at Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School. We will be serving breakfast to our veterans beginning at 8:30 in the middle school cafeteria, so please feel free to join us. Our student senate, student body, and staff work hard to honor those who have bravely served our country. There will be students stationed at the main doors and near the parking lot doors to help direct our Veterans, as well as widows of Veterans and gold star mothers, to their reserved seating.

All students from V-S schools will fill the floor and bleachers during the annual ceremony, led by high school students and including music from all schools within the district.
