Events and Activities : Training session to focus on changes in Iowa

The Benton-Iowa Decat Board will host Dr. Mark Grey who will present on Iowa’s population which is changing in ways that could not have been foreseen even five years ago. We are experiencing unprecedented growth in the size and diversity of newcomer populations. This presentation provides an overview of critical demographic trends in Iowa and the key challenges as well as opportunities for communities, social service providers, medical professionals and law enforcement. Any program who works with diverse populations is encouraged to attend. The event takes place November 23rd, 2015, 1 to 4 p.m. Wesley United Methodist Church 516 Second Avenue, Vinton, Iowa 52349 This training will immediately follow the Benton County Coalition’s bi-monthly meeting.
