The Veteran’s Lighted PATRIOTIC Christmas Parade, will take place again this year in Vinton, just before the first arrival of Santa for the holiday season. Line up begins at 5:30 p.m.Thursday Evening, Nov. 19, east and south of the Methodist Church, on 6th Street and Second Avenue. The parade begins at 6. The VFW, American Legion and AMVETS organizations of Vinton are sponsoring the event.
If you’d like to “march” in the Parade, put a float in the Parade, or just come to watch, ALL are welcome!! (Please, no Santa, as he is already here from the North Pole)
Also, please USE a Christmas OR Patriotic theme!! Pease meet at 6th Street and 2nd Ave.by the Methodist Church at 5:45 P.M. If you have any questions and/or would like to ride in or join in the Parade, please call one of the following; VFW Post 8884 member Dale Henry at 319-573-1859, Legion Post 57 member Brad Anderson at 319-472-2172, OR AmVets Post 218 member Dennis Miller at 319-573-4891. After the Parade, Santa will arrive at the Benton County Courthouse
