Events and Activities : VPRD: Calling all resident Monsters and Ghouls!

Some of the Vinton Parks & Recreation Department’s facilities will be undergoing some haunting changes in the next week in celebration of Halloween and needs your help!

Friday, October 30th the miniature golf course will be crawling with things that go bump in the night at the annual Ghostly Glow Mini Golf. Participants will have the opportunity to golf on the nine hole mini golf course at the Vinton Skate & Activity Center from 7 to 9 PM. Making the evening of glow-in-the-dark mini golf more challenging, however, is that you just never know what might be creeping in the bushes…

VPRD is in need of some volunteers that grin at the prospect of dressing up in their most frightening attire and providing some light scares to those who choose to step outside on the course. The monsters and ghouls for this event help to provide for an eerie yet fun Halloween and mini golf experience.

As for the number of monsters and ghouls we are looking to recruit, our adage is: the more, the scarier! If you have an interest in taking part in either of these events, VPRD could certainly use your help!
