Center Point Friends of the Library members put finishing touches on plans for a donated fabric and books sale Sept. 25 and 26 at the regular September meeting.
The sale is made possible in part by a big donation of fabric, sewing notions, kits and handmade tablecloths and quilt tops by the family of the late Arametta and Jim Romine.
There will be used books on all subjects, including many vintage science fiction paperbacks. Friends decided to keep prices the same as previous sales: hardcovers 50 cents, paperbacks 25, magazines 10 and DVDs $1.
The sale will be in the Library basement during regular Library hours: 8:30 to 5:30 on Friday Sept 25 and 10 to 2 on the 26th.
In other business, Friends elected officers for 2015-16: Dorothea Wood-president, Andria Youker-vice president, Sharon Hannen-secretary, Vicki Thompson-treasurer, Christina Lahr-alternate officer.
Friends membership is open to all. Dues are $5 due at the end of September. Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Library.
