Events and Activities : Celebration of 70th anniversary of end of WWII set for Aug. 15

The Benton County American Legion invites you to celebrate with us the 70th Anniversary of the End of World War II.

The Celebration will be held at Celebration Park in Vinton, IA on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 2PM.

After opening ceremonies the Three Community Bands of Benton County will put on a Concert of 1940's Big Band Music. The bands include the Vinton Community Band, directed by Judy Trygstad, the Atkins Community Band directed by Donna Scheer and the Newhall Community Band directed by Doug Anderson.

Seating is limited so bring your lawn chairs.
