Cedar Rapids storyteller Darrin Crow will be sharing "Iowa's Underground Railroad" on Saturday February 14, at 2:00 pm at the Ray House at 912 First Ave., Vinton. Darrin’s presentation will examine the heroic fight against slavery in America and Iowa's pioneers made a bold stand. Their courageous efforts led hundreds of escaping slaves to freedom along Iowa's Underground Railroad. Darrin Crow brings to life the stories of one particular stop on the Underground Railroad, the village of Salem in Henry County. They are the inspiring stories of a community that saw a great wrong and determined to stand against it, no matter the cost.
