Are you interested in learning how to fish? Or perhaps you are already an experienced angler looking to add some new tricks to your presentations? If so we have a great opportunity to become a better angler. This winter Palo Outdoors, 1204 1st St., Palo Iowa, is hosting a number of classes with experts who can teach you some new things about fishing. For beginners there will be two classes that will build and provide a great base of knowledge to go out and begin catching fish instead of just going fishing. We will start from ground zero and build from there.

The experts include Chuck Ungs, Naturalist from Wickiup Hill who has been teaching kids to fish as a professional for 26 years. During this stretch of time he has had over 16,500 kids and adults fishing. He will lead the beginning fishing sessions along with Captain Dave Nichols of Hawkeye Angling Adventures. Captain Dave is professional walleye angler who will add to the beginner’s presentation and will also contribute to the Intermediate fishing skills and the Advanced fishing skills seminars. Instruction for the Intermediate seminar will include Do-it Molds Walleye Pro Steve Miller who will speak on one of the new techniques that has been growing in use – slow death rigging. Also speaking will be Billy Meier, tournament bass angler, who will speak about Lake McBride bass and crappie fishing. Captain Dave will present on equipment selection for rigging and jigging. Instruction for the Advanced Fishing course will include Captain Dave discussing gear choices for trolling techniques, Billy Meier will cover bass fishing techniques and National Walleye Tour touring pro Gary Speicher will cover open water trolling tricks for walleyes. Pick your class and sign up NOW! Space is limited and all classes are FREE!
