Saturday, Dec. 13 is Wreaths Across America Day at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m.
This is the day that every veteran in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery will have a fresh, handmade wreath placed on his or her grave to recognize that they provided service to our country.
"This is the way we can thank those veterans that have gone before us and we will also recognize and thank Veterans who remain with us today," said Ruth Coots Intlekofer, Location Coordinator.
The public is encouraged to attend and there is no charge.
Mt. Auburn is looking for a large turnout with family and friends arriving from several states. The entire 45-minute event is made possible by the generous donations and local support in helping to kick off the event. It takes several volunteers to pull an event of this type together.
"I sincerely Thank every single person and family that has helped with this and I am so appreciative of the support," Intlekofer said.
Coffee and fellowship will follow at the Mt. Auburn Methodist Church. Please keep up to date with Wreaths Across America through
