Events and Activities : Parent/Child Turkey Shoot Free Throw Contest on Sunday, November 9

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting its annual Parent/Child Turkey Shoot Free Throw Contest on Sunday, November 9th at the Vinton Recreation Center. Starting at 2 PM, teams consisting of a parent and child will compete for their chance to win a turkey courtesy of Fareway in Vinton. There will be three divisions based on the combined age of the team members (44 & Below, 45-54, 55 & Up). Each parent and child in the team will shoot 15 free-throws with the total sum of baskets made will be their final score. The winner of each division will get the turkey and even the non-winning families will have a chance to win if their name is selected in the drawing!
