Events and Activities : VPRD plans Back-to-School bash, Sept. 6, with skating, mini-golf

School is now back-in-session and the Vinton Skate & Activity Center is now in its 15th year as a VPRD facility. We think this calls for a party! To celebrate, the Vinton Skate & Activity Center will be hosting a Back-To-School Bash on Saturday, September 6th from 6-9 PM. For only $3, attendees can take part in skating AND unlimited mini golf! We will also have concession specials, 50 cent hotdogs and prize drawings all night long so make sure you round up your family for this can’t miss event! September also means a fresh start to your workout regimen as cooler month draw near. To keep you fit, VPRD is once again hosting its Circuit Training & Fitness program now through the month of May at the V/S Middle School weight room (enter through the west doors). This class will meet Mondays and Thursdays every week from 5 – 6 PM. The cost is only $12 per month but participants must pre-register at the Vinton Recreation Center. Participants will be trained for appropriate usage on all of the weight and cardio machines available and a supervisor will be on hand at all time to give assistance if needed.
